Garden Party

My friend Angela's Bridal Shower was a garden party so I thought I'd play with gumpaste and make some flowers. It was fun making the flowers. I haven't done a lot of that yet and I have to say I like the look of these better than buttercream flowers.

Baptism part deux

I was lucky enough to get a second order for this cake. I did change it a little bit from the first one I did. I like having a chance to do the same cake over again, I get to do a better job and tweek things I didn't like the first time.

More bugs and a butterfly

I've been in a lull lately and was itching to make something when I recieved another order for bugs. I was really excited to do these again only bigger and better than before. They turned out really cute and were a big hit for a 15 year old's birthday. Now, I will really have to get better at photographing these. Normally by the time I am done and I am so tired and have to get them boxed up for delivery so the photos are taken in haste.

These cupcakes were for Reagan's 2nd birthday. She is really into dolls "babies" and cars, I decided to do the baby route instead of a car. I used starbursts for the blankets, mini Nilla Wafers for the heads and a few jelly beans and Teddy Grahams for feet and lovies. I like cupcakes, you can do so many variations and if you goof one up it's so easy to start it over.

Cupcakes galore!

Baby rattle cupcakes. These were for a babyshower. I made 60 total and they were almost all gobbled up. I started making other designs as you can see by the one with squiggles but I thought they looked too Easter'ish.

Tigger (wearing a kilt)

I made this cake for a baby shower. I know, it's not a traditional shower cake but little Liam's room is in Pooh and friends and Dad is Irish and thought it would be a funny combo.

Valentine's treats

These are chocolate mini cupcakes with chocolate fudge frosting decorated with sprinkles, candy and melted white chocolate. I placed some in a heart shaped candy box for just a little extra cuteness.

given the chance to do the ants again I would use M&M's for their thorax and melted chocolate for their legs and of course they'd be much bigger as well

This one was very cute but nothing like it was planned, I was originally going to make a 2-dimensional flat cake and shape it into a bulb but I was having fun with the layers and liked it. My husband was insistent on having a topper so I let him design that.
